Who are we?
We are the Legacy of Windrush Descendants and Friends (LOWD). LOWD is an umbrella organisation that consists of a collective of Black-led voluntary community organisations and businesses.
We focus on the delivery of educational, cultural, social, advocacy, health, and well-being events and projects.
We work together to create and promote positive contributions from the Black community to the wealth of Bedford.
LOWD gained charitable status in June 2021 and is now positioned as one of the few Black-led infrastructure organisations.
